The monitoring committee of the Conference of Presidents of the Outermost Regions (CPRUP) met on Wednesday 18 October in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. This was the eighth meeting held under the Canary Islands’ presidency of the outermost regions, prior to the 28th Conference to be held from 8 to 9 November in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Issues related to the preparation of the forthcoming conference were discussed. They also worked together on the drafting of the final declaration to be adopted by the presidents at their next meeting.
