The CPRUP Monitoring Committee meets again in Brussels under the OR presidency of the Canary Islands

On 20 and 21 September, the Canary Islands Government Delegation in Brussels hosted the meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the Conference of Presidents of the Outermost Regions (CPRUP). This is the seventh meeting held under the Canary Islands’ presidency of the outermost regions. Issues related to the events to be held in the coming months were discussed, both within the framework of the Spanish Presidency of the EU Council and in the context of the technical and political cooperation traditionally maintained by the OR, in particular the organisation of the next Conference of Presidents of the outermost regions to be held on 8 and 9 November, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands.
The meeting was also an opportunity to hold bilateral meetings, with the OR Unit of DG REGIO and Attachés of the Permanent Representations to the EU of the Member States concerned, in order to ensure close monitoring of the issues being negotiated within the European institutions with particular impact on the outermost regions.
