On 19 October, managing authorities responsible for European Territorial Cooperation (ETC) programmes of the outermost regions, together with representatives of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Regional Policy, met in Gran Canaria to advance the coordination process of the structural funds (ERDF) and those for cooperation with third countries (NDICI), in order to improve project cooperation and joint financing between the OR and their neighbouring third countries.

Examples of good practice were also presented to improve the governance of the various programmes and coordination instruments with third country partners. Views were also exchanged on mechanisms for improving coordination with the EU delegations in third countries.
