The European Commission recently launched a call for proposals – worth €1 million – to help empower youth in the Outermost Regions (ORs).
This European initiative aims to mobilise young people in the ORs to develop actions adapted to their regions in order to improve their quality of life. Young people can become agents of change, entrepreneurs and innovators in their local communities.
This two-year project aims to support actions developed by young people aged 15 to 24 in these regions and will be implemented in two phases:
- In the 1st phase, object of this call, the Commission will select a beneficiary, who will operate as the project secretariat;
- In the second phase, this beneficiary will launch calls for projects for young people in the outermost regions, award grants to the selected actions and ensure the monitoring of these actions. The grant will support a minimum of 70 actions for a minimum of EUR 5 000 and a maximum of EUR 10 000 each and for a maximum duration of 12 months.
