The Steering committee met on June 4 and 5 in Horta, Azores. The regions pursued their work on all the upcoming events in which they will take part, in particular the Copernicus Conference, which will take place on the 6th and 7th of June in Horta, the European Sustainable Energy Week from June 18 to June 20 in Brussels, the Blue Economy Forum for ORs organized by the European Commission on July 9 in Brussels and the REGIO WEEK in October in Brussels as well.
The Steering committee also continued its work on the development of common contributions and positions, particularly on state aids following the public consultation launched by the European Commission until July, and on the future European territorial cooperation for the outermost regions.
The ORs will meet for their 7th steering committee in July in Brussels.
