The Director General for European Affairs of the Government of the Canary Islands, Julián Zafra, held a meeting with the ORs Unit of the European Commission’s DG REGIO on the morning of 31 January, with the participation of the staff from the Canary Islands Government Delegation in Brussels. The purpose of this meeting was to coordinate the current presidency of the Conference of Presidents of the Outermost Regions, which the Canary Islands assumes since November 2022, as well as the organisation of the different initiatives and events that will be held throughout this year, within the framework of the Canary Islands’ presidency.
