The President of the CPRUP meets the Ambassador of Spain to the EU

The President of the Government of the Canary Islands and President of the Conference of Presidents of the Outermost Regions (CPRUP), Ángel Víctor TORRES, held a meeting on 17 November with the Ambassador Permanent Representative of Spain to the EU, Marcos Alonso Alonso, which was also attended by the Secretary General for the EU of the Spanish Government, María Lledó.

This was the first meeting after the Canary Islands assumed the presidency of the CPRUP. During the meeting, they discussed issues relating to coordination between the Government of Spain and the Government of the Canary Islands with a view to the Canary Islands’ Presidency of the CPRUP and in order to establish synergies with the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU during the second half of 2023.
